Emergency crews responded to the scene, and motorists are being urged to slow down and use caution while passing through.
Further north, an incident on I-5 northbound at 88th Street NE near milepost 201 has blocked the left lane, adding to congestion during the busy morning commute. Officials have not yet released details regarding injuries or the cause of the incident.
In Snohomish County, a collision on State Route 527 northbound just north of SR 524 at milepost 4 is blocking the right lane. Drivers traveling through the Bothell and Mill Creek areas should expect delays and consider alternate routes if possible.
Meanwhile, all lanes of State Route 99 at the 1st Avenue South Bridge were temporarily scheduled to close in both directions due to boat traffic beginning around 9:14 a.m. Authorities advised drivers to plan ahead as traffic backups developed around the closure area.
