Red Bank Suicide: Authorities in Red Bank are continuing to investigate the deaths of an adult woman and a child who were found inside a Spring Street apartment Thursday morning, a tragedy that has deeply shaken the local community.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the victims were an adult female and a juvenile. Officials have not publicly released their identities or disclosed the cause of death. Prosecutor Raymond Santiago and Red Bank Police Chief Mike Frazee stated there is currently no danger to the public.

According to neighbors, the bodies were reportedly discovered by a family member inside the apartment at Springview Gardens. Detectives from the Red Bank Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau remain actively involved in the investigation.

The heartbreaking incident has especially impacted the Red Bank Borough Schools community after officials confirmed the child attended Red Bank Primary School. Superintendent Jared Rumage sent a letter to parents expressing sorrow and support for grieving students, staff, and families.

“Our entire school community is grieving this loss,” Rumage wrote, adding that counselors, crisis response teams, and outside grief specialists will be available for as long as needed.

The tragedy unfolded during a time that would normally be filled with school celebrations and Halloween activities, leaving many students and families emotionally shaken. Community members have continued offering condolences and support to those affected as investigators work to determine what happened inside the apartment.
