Her passing in 2026 has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, students, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jennifer, lovingly known as “Mama Owens-Hill,” studied at Oklahoma Baptist University and went on to become an institution at Putnam City West High School. She taught English, Civics, Yearbook, Debate, and Youth and Government, but her greatest lesson was always love, joy, compassion, and belief in others—especially in difficult moments.

Her achievements extended beyond the classroom, as she played a vital role in strengthening programs such as Yearbook, Youth and Government (YAG), and student media, leaving a lasting impact on school traditions and educational excellence.
