Born on August 28, 2004, Avery Rian Shacklette was the cherished daughter of Travis and Sarah Shacklette and a loving sister to Drake Shacklette. She was a proud graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College, where she excelled academically and athletically, earning Dean’s List and President’s List honors while competing as an NCAA Division II golfer.
Avery was also the owner of Made by Avery Design and worked with Mitch Jackson State Farm, where her professionalism and dedication quickly made her a valued team member. She was deeply involved in her community, serving on boards, volunteering, and mentoring others.
Avery was known for her radiant smile, strong faith in Christ, and extraordinary drive. She was a gifted photographer, painter, and entrepreneur whose creativity inspired everyone around her. Her legacy is defined by resilience, kindness, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
She is survived by her parents, Travis and Sarah Shacklette; brother Drake Shacklette; companion Luke Millay; grandparents; extended family; and countless friends whose lives she touched deeply.
Funeral Arrangements & Celebration of Life
A funeral service and celebration of life 2026 will be held at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church. Visitation will take place at the St. Theresa Family Life Center prior to the service, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Additional funeral arrangements include a Mass of Christian Burial on May 15, 2026, officiated by Father Matthew Millay and Father George Illikkal.
Though her life was tragically short, Avery Shacklette leaves behind a powerful legacy of love, faith, ambition, and inspiration. She will be remembered as a shining light whose impact will continue to live on in every life she touched.
