Jessica Garza Shooting Colorado Death Obituary: It is with profound sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Jessica Garza, a vibrant and talented student at Fort Sam Houston Independent School District, who was tragically taken from us at a young age. Jessica peacefully passed away on May 12, 2026, leaving behind a family, friends, and a community that will forever be touched by her presence.

Born in 2009, Jessica was a shining light in the lives of everyone she touched. Her bright smile, infectious laughter, and kind heart made her a beloved member of her school community. Jessica’s unwavering optimism, compassion, and generosity of spirit inspired all who knew her, and her passing has left a gaping void in the lives of those who loved her.

Jessica is survived by her loving parents, John and Maria Garza; her younger brother, Michael; and her grandparents, who will cherish the memories of her sparkling eyes and irrepressible spirit. Her family and friends will greatly miss her presence in their lives.

Jessica’s short but remarkable life was marked by her love of learning, her passion for the arts, and her commitment to her community. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the memories she created with those around her. As a tribute to her memory, we will celebrate her life and spirit at a memorial service.

Funeral Arrangements and Memorial Service
A funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday, May 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM. A celebration of life will follow the service, and friends and family are invited to share their favorite memories and stories of Jessica. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Fort Sam Houston Independent School District’s Arts Program, which Jessica loved and supported.
