William Holden Obituary Ashtabula County OH Death: With profound sadness, family, friends, and the Ashtabula County community announce the passing of William Patrick “Bill” Holden, who passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the age of 63. Bill’s passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Born on November 10, 1962, to Patrick K. and Beverly J. Holden, Bill grew up on the family farm in Pierpont, Ohio, and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1981. Over the years, he lived in Atlanta, Vancouver, Quincy, and Nashville before returning to his beloved Ashtabula County in 2017.
Bill was widely respected for his passion for community service, tourism, and the wine industry. After acquiring Buccia Winery Bed and Breakfast, he became a driving force in promoting local tourism and regional wineries while serving for seven years on the Ashtabula County Visitors Bureau Board of Directors. He was also known for supporting local artists and musicians, creating opportunities for creativity and community connection.
A gifted speaker, motivator, Browns fan, and lifelong supporter of 4-H, Bill’s vibrant personality and compassionate spirit made him unforgettable. He is survived by his children Kyle (Emily), Ryan, and Kory Holden; grandchildren Myla, Breccan, and Logan; siblings Phil, Marty, and Vicki; his father Patrick Holden; companion Kristen Leehan; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Holden.
Calling hours will be held Friday, May 15, 2026, from 4–7 p.m. at Child-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home in Pierpont. Funeral services will take place Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m., followed by burial and a celebration of life luncheon at Buccia Winery.
